The foundations of a successful community policing strategy are the close, mutually beneficial ties between police and community members and consists of two complementary core components, community partnership and problem solving. This Community Policing micro-credential is designed to meet the needs of current or aspiring law enforcement officers, and others who are interested in learning more about criminal justice. Completers are prepared to enter careers in law enforcement and will learn fundamentals of law enforcement and the community, including programs in community policing, human relations, and crime prevention as well as examining ethics, conflict resolution, cultural diversity, and professionalism This micro-credential can be completed online in as little as eight weeks.
