Content includes Vietnam’s two millennia struggle for independence from China, subsequent colonial domination by France, how the U.S. was drawn into the conflict, exploration of the political and military events that occurred from 1954-1975, contrasting strategies of U.S. and Vietnamese decision makers, the aftermath of the conflict, and the consequences for both Vietnam and the United States.
